What Is Hearing Insurance?
Hearing insurance typically covers services such as hearing screening or tests. However, it is important to note that this could vary from company to company.

If hearing aids are needed, you will want to look into your plan to see if they are covered. This is because most insurance companies unfortunately consider hearing aids as electives and offer no hearing aid coverage. With that being said, some may offer an allowance for the hearing aids. This allowance typically acts as a discount off the purchase price.

What Comes With Hearing Coverage?
In most cases, your insurance provider will pay up to a certain amount on diagnostic services such as hearing exams and most of the time it will also help you save money on hearing devices. Please remember that this certainly is not always the case. You may find an insurance company that pays for the full hearing exam, or you may find one that pays for none of it.

It is important to note that this may not be true for all insurance companies. Each company will vary on what they offer for coverage. In some instances there is the possibility that your benefits do not even kick in until year 2 on the plan. Which is why I am here to help you find the best plan for you and your budget.
